First Aid

 

Queenscliff SLSC has an extensive ability to provide First Aid services to beach goers and those using the nearby parks, headland and pool.


The First Aid Room contains fixed and portable equipment, comprising:


Fixed

Patient treatment room comprising shower with hot and cold water, treatment table, defibrillator, large volume oxygen tank, extensive consumables and supplies for restocking portable kits and Oxy Vivas.


Portable

First Aid Kit - patrol use

First Aid Kit - spare

Oxy Viva - patrol use

Trauma Backpack - First Aid Kit and Oxy Viva

Spinal Boards


The Club House contains:


First Aid Kit (in Training Room)

Oxy Viva (in Training Room)

Defibrillator (on stairway)


Apart from Patrols, First Aid services are supplied to the following Club Events:


Nipper Beach Carnival

Nipper Water Carnival

Boats and Fast Fives Carnival

Swim for Saxon


along with the SLS NSW State Titles.


Volunteers are needed for these events, so please let First Aid Officer, Graham Lugsdin, know if you would like to volunteer at these events thus putting your training into practice.


Club members are encouraged to obtain qualifications in First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation Techniques and Spinal Management.
