Thank you to all of our Queenscliff SLSC members who have recently completed our survey. The overall consensus by the members was the Club is to remain closed to unvaccinated people 16 years of age and over, unless they have medical documentation preventing them from being vaccinated. This will extend the ‘vaccinated only’ restrictions at the club until the 31st January 2022. The closure of the club to non-vaccinated members over 16 years of age includes all functions and training areas on Level 1 including the bar, the gym and downstairs showers and toilets. The external toilets, patrol shed and first aid room will remain open to all.
The Board will then conduct a review of this date in their January Meeting on the 17th January. Regrettably, we understand that some members of our club will be disappointed by this decision.
The NSW government has left this decision up to individual business. We want to keep our Club safe for members and employees. It is the Club’s responsibility and duty to minimise risk in our environment.
Under the work Health and Safety Act 2022 (NSW) and in general law, it is the Club’s responsibility to make decisions that, to the best of our ability, maintain a safe environment for our volunteers, employees and for our club members. Many Members have commended the Club for working diligently to maintain a safe COVID environment over nearly two years.
The following is required of all our patrons when entering the Club House:
– Proof of Double vaccination for everyone 16 and older.
– COVID check in upon entry.
We thank everyone for their cooperation and understanding.
